1995 Keyless Remote - "Lock" not working

Any thoughts here? Waking the beastie up from dormancy. 1995 Z28.

Interior lock/unlock buttons both work.
Remote "unlock" works - once for driver,
Remote "hatch" works.

Remote "lock" DOES NOT work. Seems like I hear a click behind the pax kick panel, but haven't opened it up to check the unit yet.

Tried doing the "keyless entry program" (Ground pin 8). When I ground the pin, I hear the doors unlock, but not lock. Remote still works as before.

Dead module? Anything likely fixable?

Thx.

Re: 1995 Keyless Remote - "Lock" not working

Yep, thanks, had seen that thread.

Pretty sure my RAP is functioning appropriately. Things shut off when a door is opened and don't re-energize 30 seconds later. If the doors are locked and closed, after a time the interior lock/unlock buttons don't work.

My remote unlock/hatch buttons both work properly. "lock" button definitely clicks the KEM, and lights the dome light for 5 seconds but doesn't unlock. I'm thinking bad relay and/or bad solder joint. I was going to try pulling it out, but I already ordered a replacement from ebay so I'll just leave it for that.

Re: 1995 Keyless Remote - "Lock" not working

In case anyone else happens across this in the future, I just fixed my keyless receiver. Turned out to be failed solder joints on the the keyless entry module circuit board. Did some rework on the dull-looking solder points (didn't see any cracked/loose joints but that doesn't mean there weren't any) and she's fully operational.

I did get a replacement from ebay but...it was in worse shape than mine. Looks like some corrosion on the plugs and none of the keyless options worked. And yes, I did program it. After that (and during the programming process) could hear the relays click, but nothing fired. I'll probably try to fix and resell it or....keep it as spare.
