I have a 1994 Trans Am with the stock cd player (w/ equalizer) and steering wheel controls. I've also got the 8 speaker setup.

A couple questions.

How many channels does the stock deck 'have.' (If I wanted all speakers to work, how many channels would I need from a replacement deck)

Does GM/auto stores carry anything to fit in the location of the stock deck, but 'fill' in the empty space you'd have with an aftermarket deck?

How do you remove the stock deck?

And finally, is it possible to get the steering wheel controls working with aftermarket decks, or any in particular?
