Where does the connector come from that plugs into the back of the cigarette lighter? I took my console out to thoroughly clean my car and when I went to put it back together, the part that the cigarette ligher is supposed to plug into was gone. pics would be very helpful fellas.

I'm confused(nothing new),but,are you talking about the wire that connects to the cig lighter,that bolts into the consol,that comes from under the dash?The wire may be hiding under the carpet,or shoved up under the dash,might get a mirror and search around for it.Hope this helps.(a flashlight pointed at the mirror helps.)

 

The piece that clips into the back of the cig lighter is what i am talking about. Trust me, I LOOKED. If someone could just take a picture of where it comes from, in reference to the position on the dash, that would be fantastic.

 

I'm sorry,it's been a few years since I played with this.but if I remember,it was a large nut that holds it in place.Kinda like a big hex nut if I remember.Hope this helps.

 

Pull your center console off. There is only one harness running down there. It comes from under the carpet in front of the shifter hole, then around the shifter and back to the air bag sensor (big yellow box behind the shifter hole). The cig lighter plug (should be a big grey female connecter with 2 clips on the side) comes out of the harness near the front, where the harness first comes out of the carpet. Chances are you got it stuck under the tape holder part of the console.

 

Sounds like you are going to need to take your console back out and find where you covered it up.
