while waiting in line to pay for some mcnuggets my lt1 decides to test my capabilities again
at just an idle no hiccup or stumble just died and my first thought was ok do not try anything this is not normal so i was lucky enough to be on a slight downhill and waited till others were clear and i was able to coast out of the way and into a parking stall before i even tried the restart.
well i crank and no start it hiccups then backfires out intake and exhaust so i turned the key off and called uber. trailered it home and ill upload the dead in the water log while cranking it over but if i leave the fuel injector fuse in i almost hyd lock the motor.
forgot to add no dtc

Sorry Fred I stuck a log from a week before the car died on page one so at the bottom left of the excel sheet there is 3 tabs. Middle tab is labeled dead in the water
OK.... never thought to look at the tabs. Don't think anyone has every sent me more than one sheet. Sorry about that.
Appears the Bank 1 O2 sensor is not functioning. I would expect to see at least the 0.450 volt bias voltage from the PCM, but the entire column is blank. No fuel trim cells shown. Almost like some part of the PCM that controls the A/F ratio is dead. Injector pulse width is extremely long, but the coolant temp is low. But let me look further.
What software are you using? Doesn't look familiar.
Jet spectrum I have the .lgf files. but I’m exporting to .xlsx that way I can look at them and let’s say pretend to know what I’m looking at haha but that was also a very short attempt that I logged. I also noticed low res is extremely high and timing is cut in half at least I’m usually 30+ degrees advanced to now only 14. I’ll plug into her and see if I can read the pcm and if things look ok reflash it or pull some more data to examine
Fred I don’t know how you do it so easily everytime but all I can say is thanks for your expertise I just needed to quit looking at opti or fuel, your pcm comment made me poke the bear a couple times in the belly button and all I can say is thank you and keep my hopes up for a decent outcome when I get the entire passenger side engine harness rewired and rerouted a different way I can only cross my fingers the pcm isn’t hurt!!! Attaching a couple pics of my findings Just a little bit of header heat on factory loom Ouch
Any ideas why I don’t have a popped fuse on anything
Well after hours and hours of dissecting loom and tracing wires and making sure my melted mess was fixed. I misdiagnosed a melted heat barrier as a bunch of melted insulation that was just melted loom not one bare wire or melted wire so back to square one comparing logs everything I see is exactly the same as prior logs on initial startup other than timing is at 13 or 14 degrees prior was 0 degrees and as soon as rpm registers timing advances. But I have Also found no spark, weak spark, and very iratic spark on different cylinders
1 no spark
3 spark
5 hit and Miss no spark
7 spark but can barely see the spark at all
hi resolution is active
low resolution is jumping around on logs but I’m so unfamiliar with what should be normal I’m confused
could This be cap and rotor failure on my billet msd opti with 5000 miles on it
