Re: Starts had when hot

When it warms up does it seem to be running rich? A problem with the coolant temp sensor (the one in the water pump housing, for the PCM) can cause difficult hot starts if it's not telling the PCM the engine is warmed up.

May also be a problem with the ignition control module (ICM) heat soaking.

Do you have the ability to scan it for codes or to data log the PCM?

Might be worth checking the fuel pressure at cold and hot starts.

Ill get it scanned to see if there are any codes. Are the above issues easy to fix or are they pretty involved to get to the sensors? I haven't had the car long so I don't know my way around it yet.

On a side note it does have a bigger tb and a cold air installed. Should it be tuned at this point or would that come after other modifications?
