Unhappy stalling problems??

just bought the car a month ago. bought it in ky and live in pa driving home it stalled every 2 hours and wouldnt start till it rested 1 hour. got it home put a pressure gauge on it and it seemed fine so i just put a fuel filter on it because it had sat for a while before i bought it. its been running fine drive it every day. then yesterday our hotest day so far(85*) i drove it home from work about 20 mins parked it washed it(1 hour) drove to the ymca 10 mins away worked out 1 hour then drove home 10 mins sat in the drive way idleing putting my windows up and it started to miss then stalled so i got the fuel gauge on it started it back up ran fine fuel pressure was at 32 psi then started to drop to 28 then 25,22,then the idle started to go up and down 1000 rpm to 400rpm and back and forth till it stalled and the fuel pressure was going up and down from about 5 to 20 then stalled got home today and it starts up fine i have 1/2 tank of fuel could the pump be over heating?? it only does it when its really hot out it was about 80 in ky when i bought the car and hasent seen 70 till last week and this week should i look else where for my problems relay ,wiring

If your pump is only putting out 5-20psi at times, its got a serious problem. Could be inadequate voltage to the pump, poor ground, overheating pump. You should not run the car with fuel pressure that low.... your going to run lean enough to burn valves.

The pump should run at 41-47psi at idle with the vacuum compensation line removed, drop about 6-8psi below that when you reattach the vacuum line, and hold at least 40psi at max load/max RPM/WOT.
