opti

Could you use a non-vented opti on a 96 camaro?

Only if you swapped out the cam sprocket, swapped out the timing cover, eliminated the CKP sensor (program out of PCM), swapped the short Opti harness, shortened the cam dowel pin and plugged the holes in the intake elbow and the vacuum connection on the side of the intake manifold.

Then you would be left with an Opti that is more prone to degradation due to ozone, and would not be as likely to dry out if it got damp.
