Help! Installed MSD coil - car won't start

Just installed MSD PN 8226 coil on my 95 LT1, now car won't start, it will crank but won't light. I double checked all my connections, everything looks fine. Faulty coil maybe?

Check fuses before doing anything.

Alright, put the stock coil back on car today. Fired right up. What gives?? I also installed the studs first and then the coil bracket to move it farther from the cylinder head. My miss MIGHT be from the module heating up too much, or could still be a wire somewhere. Going to look under car now.

Obviously it's a bad coil if it works with the stocker and won't work with the MSD coil. Or am I missing something?

Ya I think your right, but I don't think I can return a coil.

I am still not convinced it's a spark issue now, and I am also not convinced that it only does this when car is warm. It seems it is happening all the time but you can only feel it in 5th or 6th at low rpm, feels like a 'slight' miss, almost like a surging. I am wondering if it is a fuel issue, maybe dirty fuel filter, bad gas, or is stock coil on the way out? Maybe the stock ignition module is done as well?

Let me know if you guys have any other ideas.

Thanks

If you have a new, bad MSD coil, MSD will warranty it, even if your retailer will not.

I emailed MSD just in case, will see what their reply is.

I started car and hooked it up to my laptop, and no codes are coming up, but I can hear it popping from the exhaust a little bit, seems to be worse than it was, so I removed the alternator, and power steering pump, plugs/wires all look good on both sides. Tomorrow I am going to pull all plugs just to check and rerun my passenger wires (even though they were ok, but I can run them better). Then I guess I will have to get a good MSD coil and try that, it could also be the ignition module. Does MSD make an ignition module replacement?

Thanks
