Parallel or Series

Trying to decide which way to go. Motor is going to run around 900 FWHP hopefully. Right now running the rails in series will be a lot cleaner in the engine compartment but if running in parallel is that much better I will do that, it will just look messy. I know that parallel cuts the chances of a pressure drop from 1st to last injector in half, but are the chances that high to begin with? I haven't bought anything yet, but was planning on running a -8 feed to the rails and then -6 through my Edelbrock rails and return. Motor is a BBC with a single plane and 100* elbow so crossing over in the front is a little hard because of the TB and termostat housing etc.

I was going to route -8 along the firewall to the front of the pass rail and then cross over in the back and then out the front driver rail to the stock return area on the driver fender.

If parallel I would route -8 along the firewall y into -6 into the back of the rails and out the front and y back together to a single -6 stock return location.

Any help is appreciated.

Do not run them in series for a high hp application.

Bigger is always better.

With just 80% of your expected power, I ran AN10 from the pump to the Y, two #8s to the rails, two #6s to the regulator, and a #8 return.

I do agree it's not real clean looking, but better than going lean

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anybody have a pic of their parallel setup or maybe a diagram? Also, what is the prefered regulator with that setup? I have my intake off now with the car on stands also and have been contemplating upgrading the lines and the rail setup. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just so I can keep the need for adapters down, I'm not going to run a -10 feed, plus I really don't need it. Another quick question, should I run two -6 lines from the rail to the regulator and then a return from the regulator or should I Y them together into a -8 and then run it to the regulator single in and single out? Does it even matter?

Here is a diagram of a fuel system that is pretty common and works well.

Mine is going to be the same except my rails are -6 so I'm running -8 feed and -6 return using my stock feed line as my new return and making a new hard line for the feed. Also my feed will be from the back instead of the front.

Here you go. -8 feed, NOS y block w/ a -6 return using Fuelab regulator. Not too messy I don't think.

That looks great to me and no it's not too messy, but I can't run my setup like that because of my intake/TB location. I wish I had a pic to share, but basically it looks like this, except instead of a 4bbl on top I have an elbow and 90mm TB that gets in the way of running stuff at the front of the motor.

It ends up looking like this except I don't have all those rails and injectors, just talking TB placement cluttering up the front of the motor. Add to that coolant hoses that I have to run that he doesn't.
