I've cut myself an access hole for my fuel pump. I've tried, with a brass hammer and brass punches, to remove the locking ring. I'm having a lot o trouble. I tried lubricants, hitting evenly around the ring etc etc.

Anyone know where I can get a tool to aide in the ring removal and re-installation process?

Any tricks I don't know?

Get a buddy to help and tap on opposite sides of the lock ring at the same time.
