Dual in-tank with dual 3/8 lines - Almost Done

I didnt get it all wired up but the plumbing works - so here it is. You might remember I was building the sending unit over winter - the original lines were removed and replaced with all 3/8" lines for the two pumps. The Walbro pumps go by -6 teflon lines into redundant flapper check valves and then Y into the Aeromotive filter. Then -8 up to the front and another Y into two -8 lines that feed the fuel rails. The rails empty back into the regulator by -6 lines, then its -8 back to the tank.

I still have to get a mount for the Filter cause i have a bunch of tie wraps holding it up now (so dont flame me for that ).

I also need to find a better way to plumb the FP gauge sender and I haven't done the boost referenced fitting yet - so there's some odds and ends left to do.

Thanks - it seems to work well so far. I haven't retuned the car for the correct mixture yet - it was very lean before I built the fuel system due to not enough fuel, so I had the enrichment tables all rich trying to get more fuel into it at the track. So I havent really tested it too much - I just got into boost a couple times to watch the fuel pressure rise with boost like it should. I am going to rewire it with some solid state relays which I couldn't seem to find until I was practically done with it and I need to wire the one pump to a TPS switch I have, and also I need to get the two supply lines protected from the driver's side header a little better. I probably wont get back to working on it for a couple weeks. I was just glad when the thing didnt leak all over the place

I was kind of wondering that myself, but you could probably go either way with it. I haven't tried a boost-a-pump and might not need it now, but I think it is a good way to go as long as your lines are sufficient for the flow. I would like to hear from anyone with two pumps and a boost-a-pump to see what they are doing.

I did the single Walbro_255 with a KenBell BAP. Was'nt enough for a 383 - D1 with 72# injectors. So I did a dual Walbro_255 similar, but, used -6an bulkhead fittings and made my own bulkhead from 0.90" sheet metal. I used -6an socketless hose from Aeroquip. I did wire my KenBell BAP to power both pumps, but, it could not handle the current load to drive both pumps. Spent 20amp fuse. Now I only have it on Pump #1. KenBell does make a BAP that will handle a two pump load. (97ss - 383 - D1-M6) B.

Thanks a lot for the info - That's pretty much how I figured it would be.
