Fuel pump bucket

What have you guys been using to secure the top of the fuel pump bucket when you install a new pump? Bill

Race Tronics sells a special glue (probably NAPA too), the first time I used some clamps...

That glue didn't hold on mine. When I took it out again to do dual pumps, it was all apart. I researched it and there is some aviation glue that works in fuel - not sure if that was in the little packets Racetronix provided or if it was some more common epoxy - whatever it was, it didnt work.

Not saying you didn't do it, but the stuff they send is suppose to set up over night, which is commonly missed especially if installed by a shop which isn't willing to wait over night. Just my experience.

I scraped all the residue off with a razor blade and brushed on a schload of superglue. Superglue isn't a filler type glue, so if you can get both pieces to a nice, clean, gapless fit, it'll work well.
I've had the pump out 3 times and it's holding up fine so far.
