dynaspark?
dynaspark?
Far as the Gen II LT1 ignition goes, would it be worth it for the dynaspark gen II? What about converting to the delteq ignition alone? Would we have to purchase the dynaspark gen III to make things work out w/the delteq? Looking to replace the junk GM opti, getting spark scatter above 6000...(50-55 WHP loss on dyno)
This is potentially a huge purchase...need to research a lot more before making any decisions...
Any thoughts/suggestions? Would be appreciated!

The GM opti and Delteq work fine I don't see the need in switching to a GEN III. Sure you aren't blowing the spark out? Opti's are good for up to 6800 rpm no problems but after that you need something else LTCC/Delteq etc. I spun my GM opti and Delteq to 6700 daily before the 396 let go.
Possibly selling my Delteq due to my FAST XFI doesn't seem to want to conver the signal to fire the engine on my blown setup. Still researching that as well.
I'd say stick w/ the GM opti and just get a Delteq you'll be fine and you'll save yourself the 525.00 not buying the GEN III.

The motor sees 7200-7400 max at the track. Am I hearing you right that the gm opti and delteq will only hold to 6800?
stock ecu? or are you aftermarket? i would be concerned about fragging the rotor at those rpms..... it seems to have happened quite a bit around here.
Well there are guys spinning the stk opti to 7K w/ no problem but if you are going that high I'd get an LTCC or Delteq. Opti and delteq was to 6800 daily no problems and would've gone high had I increased the rev's.
ZBLKHELLRZR: Ok, cool. Thanks for the info man. Probably be going that route then.
