Injector Circuit(s)

Over the last couple weeks, my car has had an occasional weak ignition start. And on a couple rare occasions, I had to give a little gas while starting up my car. Well today, I had to give a little gas while starting my car. I looked at my Scanmaster LT1, and it picked up a diagnostic trouble code. I looked up the code and all it says is "Injector Circuit(s)". What exactly can the problem be? I'm guessing it is more of an electrical problem than a mechanical problem? Any help would be great.

The PCM looks at the voltage on the injector circuits, and sets a code if the voltage isn't where its supposed to be. Could be failure of the +12V supply to the injector, failure of the injecotr's electrical coil, or failure of the ground provided by the PCM.

Check for +12V at the pink wire at each injector harness clip. Check the resistance of each injector (12-16ohms). Use a "noid" light to verify the PCM ground is reaching the injector.

"Giving it a little gas" doesn't really do much at startup, other than allowing a bit of extra air into the engine. If you put the pedal on the floor, while cranking, it puts the PCM in "clear flood" mode, and significantly reduce injector flow to clear a flooded condition.

The problem seems to be fixed. I think that the injectors just had some build-up of some kind in them.
