Delteq still in business??

Guys

In getting my hot rod ready in earnest to sell it appears my Delteq is dead. I’ve e-mailed them and called four times with the voicemail box full ever time not able to leave a message. Figurers??

Anybody know what the scoop on them is?? FYI the sheetmetal intake is for sale also. Now if I can just get the car running!

There was a thread about 4-6 months ago in LT1 Engine Tech which indicated that JC Hyde was sick an unable to continue the business. Might try a "search" if you need more details.

Thanks!! I tried doing a search and didn't find anything.

Looks like time to reverse engineer back to Optispark as I'm not getting any response back.

Fred

This time the search did find the thread you refered to. From the sounds of things my Optibox went bad. Being you seem to be pretty up on electronics.........is there a replacement or another source for the Optibox?

Don't really know a lot about the Delteq components.

Thanks anyway.

Basically I removed the Delteq system and now it’s an $800.00 paperweight. Evidently it had degraded somewhat over time as the car idles much better and starts instantly vs having to give it throttle. Need to redyno the car as it was going flat around 6000 rpm as I suspect the Delteq was the culprit.

The kicker is because the car was taken up to 7200 rpm, the thought process was the multiple coils would most likely help top end response…….they didn’t. The car dynoed identical before and after. Then it was probably better reliability……Nope again.

Live n learn.
