Autometer Fuel Pressure Gauge Problems

I went to install my fuel pressure gauge today. It is a autometer Electric gauge. I hooked everything up just like the manual said. I turn the key to the on Position and the gauge reads like 65 PSI, which seemed to high. So I started the car to see if it would drop back down into the 40's, instead it reads nothing at all even when I give it some throttle. The mechanical gauge I gave mounted just before my fuel solenoid is reading about 38-40 psi.

It is the autometer gauge that runs that junction style box that all the wires run to.

Any ideas guys/girls what the problem is?

Thanks, Josh
