Wideband install ?

I am in the process of getting my s trim hooked up and want to be as safe as possible. So i am looking at getting a wide band to keep a eye on everything, is it hard to install and where is the best place to install it at? I have pacesetter long tubes and there 3 inch ory pipe. I was thinking about where the y pipe merges but am not sure. Also where should my air fuel be at off boost and on boost 7 psi max. Thanks Here is a link to the one i am thinking of getting what is your thoughts?

As long as it's not too close to the turbo outlet I think it doesn't matter that much. Mine is in the downpipe about a foot and a half back from the turbo.

I have thay same AEM gauge and it's been great. I can't imagine trying to tune a turbo car w/o one.
Apparently a turbo's backpressure can affect the accuracy, so mount it after the turbo (or after Y pipe collector if supercharged) at an angle of about 15° above horizontal so it can drain condensation. I would stay at least a foot away from the end of the tailpipe so the reading isn't skewed by atmosphere.

AFR in closed loop should between about 14.7-15.2.
power enrichment mode on 7psi should be about 11.8-12.2

One side or the other is about all you could do. Might be able to place it in an H pipe if it's not too long.

I had it installed on my right side only, when 1 day the LED started acting up. Called autometer and they said to send in for repair. The other day a BRAND NEW wideband/harness/sensor showed up at my doorstep Now, I'm in the process of doing dual widebands. I have pacesetter LTs and i installed the bungs on the opposite side of the O2s, on the collector. I like the fact that i get a reading on both sides, now i just need to find another 4378 gauge.

One could run 2 sensors and elecrtonically average the 2 readings to allow for one gauge.

I kinda like the dual idea as well- lets you know if one bank is leaner than the other- could be a nice warning if something is off before things start to break.

Be nice if someone offered a dual reading single gauge. It can't be that hard to do...

Exactly why i'm doing it, always better safe than sorry. 1 gauge for both would be cool but i haven't seen that. I'm doing both meters in a triple pod, with the other being boost.

I'm thinkin 3 position toggle switch... right, left, or average both sensors.

I did a DynoJet WB AFR. Mounted the analog gage on the "A" pillar.
Also had a Autometer AFR Gage next to it with a 3 position toggle.
It reads Rt/ Left Bosch O2 sensor(s). Toggle is convienient access by the steering column as I drive on down the road. AutoMeter AFR gage is easy to read w/ the WB analog gage located below. Really helped me with the PCM tune. The DynoJet also can data log internal and to a Laptop via USB.

Maybe get a switch with gold contact or something to keep the voltage drop to a minimum.
