Whats your trap speed????........
Whats your trap speed????........
I was just wondering what you guys trap .....anybody trapping over 130mph with a blower..........I want to trap 130+ with my blower and spraying the intercooler down with some n2o...I think I can do it without any problems.......I have not had my car on the dyno yet or even takin it to the track(I dont want to walk home as I still have my stock ten bolt rear end) so I dont know were I am at now.....I have run some of my friends cars and done well...one was a MKIV supra with a t-88 and I got him by a car and he could not get past me from 40 to 160...he dynoed 540rwhp and 468rwtq......the other was a 03 cobra with every bolt on(stock blower) that dynoed 510rwhp (I dont know his tq numbers)..and I walked away from him hard ..... he was kinda pissed......
anybody have a setup close to mine with a trap close to 130mph......
thanks
Mark

yes...I know that Captain Obvious .......my fuel system won't flow enuff fuel to keep up with 12 to 13psi and a 75 shot.........so thanks for your input......but it was not needed..
Back to the ? at hand............Who traps what?

anyway.....some people were talking about spraying c02 instead of n20 on the intercooler........something about it being colder and cheaper. might look into that.
btw.........someone correct me if im wrong..........but the reason spraying n20 onto the intercooler makes more power is because it cools the intake charge further...........cooler air is denser.........that means more air and more power.............but doesnt this also mean your engine would need more fuel to match the denser air?
if thats true, then wont your fuel system have a hard time keeping up, if it can handle extra?

My fuel system will handle the colder boost with any problems...........but even a small shot like a 75 shot will take away from the volume of fuel going to the injectors...

You may be suprised at what you find
BTW, I have a similar setup just little bigger cam and stock heads. My car was trapping 128-129 in the 1/4. I pulled the blower off before I got some good times with the nitrous so we'll have to wait till I get the new blower on...
ok...........lets say I try it....and I run lean and burn up a piston.......do I get to knock it then......
do you think that a stock intank pump and a bosch inline pump with 42lb svo injectors is going to feed a 355ci Lt1 turning 6,500 rpm's @ 12psi with a 75 shot of n2o.....I dont..
