I'm now getting to hook up the oil lines and realize that my turbo is just about even with the oil pan. Will this create a huge problem? I'm using 5/8" hose which is about 24" so it's plenty big but just slightly has a dip in the middle.

unproper oil drainage which you will have will result in oil leaking past the seals and going into your exaust and intake , so you burn oil , and leak oil, alot.

so how can I fix this without relocating the turbo? Is there a small electric oil pump I can buy? There's got to be a way if the rear mounted turbos work

if I use a crankcase vacuum pump than wouldn't the oil in the the dump line just get sucked into the oil pan?

Precision sells one I believe, one of the board members use one, I probably should have used one on my old turbo tech kit.

I had a puff of white smoke the other day when started my car... and a couple nights ago I smelled the same smell I got when that puff came out. I thought that it was just a one time thing but it occured to me that this could be the problem after I read this thread. Best I could my vortech drain is about level with the oil pan with no dips in the line. Think that's good enough??? I drove the car to my girlfriends house today and so far so good. Could it be possible that running it with the drain like that for a short while (probably less than 500 miles) messed up my blower seals??

Thanx dude!

Actually I had that user ID way before I had a turbo. The car didn't smoke

No, or at the VERY LEAST, do not expect it to. Not to be used for that purpose or gain.

You do have options regarding specific scavanging pumps. I'll give three. One is a pump from Tilton. One is a pump 'revamp' of an existing product from Westech in Texas. The third: http://www.batinc.net/files/pump.pdf

Edit: 800 posts! Unreal! I gotta believe, Brent is trembling, feeling me breathing down his neck!
