I would rather have a front mounted turbo. They give the biggest gains. I guess I can just buy a kit from one of the few vendors we have. PTK seems to be the way to go.

I would like to do a custom system, but I am not that skilled in fabricating, nor do I have the means.

Thanks,
Jeff

Will- how did you get Megasquirt to work with the opti? Fuel management has been one of the biggest fears I have in trying something ridiculous like this.

the opti is just being used for the cap and rotor. The megsquirt is triggred off a crank position sensor from an obd II LT1

Wow realquick! Thats some primo work there! Some of the talent on this board never ceases to amaze me.

Realquick, of all your turbo systems, which one do you prefer and why? I like the header one myself. I just like the single turbo systems for ease of packaging and I would think would have alot less total cost. And as for turbo placement, in front of the engine seems to be the most popular location. How is it as far as cooling fan and radiator clearance? How is the regular maintenance on them such as spark plugs/ wires/opti/oil ect?

Nice work you guys, I wish I could only be as talented.

Realquick has been honing his skills for a few years now. Nice work. I like the T88 setup, but I'm sure the radiator had to move.

Yea, I dig the T88. Mucho power!

Found this one on ebay. Looks like a decent starter system, but I cant quite see the pass side manifold and how the opposite bank feeds the turbo....

That looks very much like a TTI kit. Speaking from personal experience, I would stay away from it.

Some very nice custom setups in this thread. If we could just get a company to take the LT1 crowd seriously we would have a lot more fun in the FI section ( ERIC @ Victory build it and we will come (LT1 kit)

PTK makes a very nice kit, but I wasn't too happy with waiting for 8+ months to get everything in. There's another thread about my build:

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...=530043&page=2

If their service is better now, it is a nice kit for the money. I am also interested to See how Victory's comes out.
