i was thinking some shorty headers turned upside down with the collectors cut off and turbo flanges welded on? woudl this be possible? and would two farely large t4's be good turbos for this system?

It's possible, but you may have some interference in the exhaust ports since the LT1s are d-ports. You may also have to do a little cutting and rewelding to move some of the primaries to make them fit. The headers on the IROC were originally SBC headers from a Chevelle that we modified....a lot.
