Tons of questions :)

I am looking at doing a 355 solid roller with AFR 215RR heads, and a T78 or equivilent. few questions, what piston coatings? I want to do a solid roller, any disadvantages, i currently run a solid and dont have any problems with the cam, lash doesnt come out very much.

I guess i am basically looking for some info on this, i am new to FI, and need as much help as i can get, tell me if i can crazy, or just kinda help me along

Thanks Patrick

for one, unless you won the lottery stick with a standard head. the 215rr add hassle that you just don't need with a turbo. Ditto with the solid roller, don't really NEED it to make big power, and another downside is you want to idle turbo cars after running them hard.. not good for a SR motor. Also, the turbo will add mainanace.. last thing you need is something else to jack with.

ALso, T78.. sounds like a mitsu turbo. these are actually very small, probably closer to a typical Turbonetics T60 etc. I would get either a T76(dime a dozen) Qtrim, or if you wanna step up.. a GT80 Rtrim. That new PTQ wheel looks interesting, but i don't know much about it

The 215 heads will require a custom intake. Mark Montalvo was just selling a set of these monsters a few weeks ago on here. Search in the Classifieds for VPRETR or something like that.

I got my headers done @ Swain Tech in New York and am pretty pleased. When I do the next motor, I'll have them do the chambers, piston tops, etc.

The T78 is very popular w/ the supras, good for probably 650-700rwhp.

The Mitsu T78 is a 66mm turbo, which is good for 700rwhp. If your going to use a Mitsu, try to get a T88 34D, its the same as a 70mm.
