Not with an STS.. They probably put a brick on the gas pedal and went home for the night then came back the next day, removed the brick, and completed the pass. I hear that's how long it takes to build boost in those rear ended things. LOL

 

I heard those rear end turbo thingies were designed better for trucks... more piping, less cubes, makes sense.

its an auto.....all auto turbo cars do that regardless of how good/bad the turbo system spools.


i was about to say nice times, then i read the thread..........hes got a cam, stall, and drag radials and 8psi.........thats really not an impressive run at all for those mods.
how much does that car weigh?

 

I think 11s on only 8psi is pretty damn good....especially for a near 4000 pound car...

 

Not on a car that should run 12.2-12.5s with a cam and stall

Looks like some people missed the part about a slipping tranny. That might affect the quarter mile times. Seems theres more to be had with the STS kit... imagine that, at the first month of the season someone posts a respectable time for a STS car... and some people STILL cant help but to bash. I think theres going to be better times to come, we'll just have to see.

These STS threads are actually becoming comical.. no offense to the thread starter... but I think its funny to see the 5.0 kid spend more time bashing STS kits then anyone else.

 

You're the biggest ****ing hypocrite ever. You spend as much time bashing me and promoting STS kits as I do bashing STS kits. All you STS lovers made it incredibly obvious that all you were waiting for were some half way respectable times, so you could come on here and brag about how effective and cool STS is I find it amusing how offended STS people get when someone posts anything negative about the kit. And how angry they get when someone dare disagree with anything positive said about STS. I mean, who are they to post up the opposite arguement and their opinion!!! I know I know.... it's the standard list of bull**** excuses that come with every STS timeslip, like the built 396 LS1 with a auto tranny, and nine inch rear that went 12s...... Why on earth would they give that information to a national magazine to print... and then with some excuses along with it.
