Talk about your savior ptk in EVERY POST, must be a cult thing eh there chief, which aint doing **** and costs 5k without even a turbo in the price. Have I ever said one thing about your kit? Ever posted in one of your posts?

no thanks..........most of your posts have been just as rediculous as the sts fanboys.
they are the sts cult, and you are the anti-sts cult.
both of you are just as annoying.

Can somebody please please telll me why they hate these new STS turbo rear mounted kits. Only thing I can think of at the moment is the guys with superchargers running 10+ boost are getting smoked by these new systems putting out 3+ boost

I really dont care what system is better. As long as it makes power. I feel that we should all stop this non sense and come to a close on this. I like the STS kits and superchargers kits. There both awesome kits that make serouis horsepower. I just dont feel like these members should get carried away with with this topic.
Re: Sts Gto goes 11.7 at 119
The problems I have with STS are very simple. When the kit first came out, they posted dyno numbers and such. Said "This is this much psi on a stock car".
Now obviously once you upgrade to a K&N, it isnt stock... but this is a bit different. They werent using stock internals. Different Rods/Pistons was one setup. Someone was not telling the truth. That is one BIG issue I have.
I will not argue the longevity claims, as many companies claim the longevity isnt effected. It is.
I will not argue the power difference. STS cannot and will not make more power then the same car swapped with a PTK. The rules of physics apply. You pay more cash for a more efficient setup. Thats how it goes. That's STS's strong point. It's cheap and it works. Not the best, but hey... Bang for the buck perhaps.
And there have been times when STS reps have said it makes as much power as any other turbo kit or more. The comments were few and far between, but they were there. Luckily they have stopped saying that.
Honestly I trust the "STS groupies" as they are more honest in this regard - hence why I have stopped commenting about the issue. Guys coming on and listing their whole setup made me feel better.
5-liter-eater:
Your forged LS6 is a very powerful motor. The ls1 right off the bat has an advantage over the lt1. A big one. But you have an ls6. 634rwhp and 615rwtq.
STS on their website has a lt1@12psi. 598rwhp and 637rwtq. Now I called them and asked them and the kind man on the phone told me that was a stock engine aside from the STS kit.
Lt1@12psi = 598rwhp/637rwtq
Ls6@10psi = 634rwhp/615tq
An lt1 does not have great flow from the factory. An ls1 does. An Ls6 is better. An lt1 is a 275hp motor. An LS6 is a 400hp motor. You're going to tell me that 2psi is all it takes from an lt1 to get into a forged/built ls6 territory?! You are making 23rwhp/psi, which is good for an ls6 turbo. Makes sense. They are making 26.9hp/psi, which makes NO sense on a stock lt1 350cid engine...
I'm no expert. But why is it a motor built for boost that flows MUCH better cant make the same hp/psi of boost? 5-liter-eater -- does that mean your engine isnt as efficient? I dont believe that at all! I cant! That's the LS series advantage!
So I called them back (mind you this was months ago when I saw that graph) and kept asking for details, and kept calling till I got them. Eventually I was told it was a built 383... Why did they lie on something THAT important?! That isnt on their website...
But like I said. The "STS Groupies" are more honest IMHO then the people making the kit for that very reason... So as the number of "Groupies" increases, the less annoyed I am.

I am hoping we start seeing some more track results from all the kits in the spring. Nobody on here has posted #'s for PTK, very few with TTi and most of the sts kits havent shined yet.
Re: Sts Gto goes 11.7 at 119
Geoff I have an ls6 block not a 400 hp ls6. Just clearing that up. I do have 6.0l heads an such now also but its not an ls6 swap thats in there. I just bought an ls6 surplus block thats all.
Also I want it known I have zero affiliation with sts what so ever and did this on my own cause it was an easy way to go turbo for me. Also if that 383 story is true then thats complete bull****, I would be acting just like you about the kit in that case. Good post.
Also let it be known I can build an 8 sec car with twin front mounts just like harlans but I chose this route cause it works and I didnt need anything other then a fun toy for the street. We have a qmp t76 front mount car with the identical cam going in being done soon and I will line up on him. Hes got a front mount and a bigger turbo. It will be video'd as well. So theres things in the work to help show how much better things can or cant be.

Re: Sts Gto goes 11.7 at 119
I would love to get together with you in the spring and see what that motor is capable of. So it isnt a true LS6... It's still a lot more efficient then my crappy lt1/lt4.
Quite honestly at 10psi I dont think my rwhp peak will be as high as yours. But that's what I get for using an lt1. Either way your car will be faster... my convertible weighs a ton
Maybe you should change your sig to "rear mount turbo (NON-STS) dyno@10psi" ???
Still... I cant get over the 10" of suspension travel on that GTO!

Even I will one day build a TT motor and they will be up front but it wont be this car. I goto the LVD mustang/camaro track rentals they have in the spring and fall so if you ever wanna meet up let me know.
