Also...the graph looks like an UNLOCKED convertor to me...which could be costing a good amount of RWHP....since it is a 3000+ vert. I bet its fun to drive!
BTW...Im making a kit soon for the 99+ ls1 trucks...tuner style. Just the hot parts, you supply your own fuel management, intercooler, ect.

Dont forget though... that 5.3 motor in his truck is not stock. It has a cam that, judging by the specs, was picked specifically for a turbo application.

At that psi without a cooler you will see those temps. We have been tuning our 2000 SS STS with the sequential methanol system and killed the intake temps on high boost, down below 120 degrees with a small jet on 10 psi. The car is running great and numbers will be up soon. And we have won races with our cars.

I think you missed my prior posts. I am not building a race car, but looking for a few extra horse power without adding a whole pile of gadgets and tons of heat to my engine compartment. Also something I can remove without too much trouble if I have a warranty issue.
As far as winning races and trying to impress people, I don't need to do that.
I've got a roomful of trophys from 35 years of drag racing. My wife keeps threatening to throw them out.
I also don't like the idea of running around with a bottle in my trunk, so the STS solution is perfect.
On top of that I don't think a stock LS1 would like much over 400 HP for an extended period of time, especially since the CR is already on the high side for this type of application.
And as you well know since it seems all the car manufacturers are back into the HP wars, I'm just trying to stay near the front of the pack.
