Speed density and supercharging...
If you can use an aftermarket PCM with 2bar capabilties yes it is safe.
If you can get a crank trigger on the car and use a 7749 PCM you could do it as well.
Other wize, stock 93 pcm in my opionion you MUST run a FMU for driveablity etc... see the post FMU Deletion or something along those lines

With my limited and minimal knowledge on the subject of tuning, I believe I saw that you can disable the use of the MAF sensor with LT1_edit and force the PCM to run using speed density.
I've also heard that tuning for speed density is much more difficult than when using the MAF.
