ProCharger or Vortech?

which supercharger would you choose if you had to pick between a vortech v-1 t-trim or a procharger p-1sc? and do any of you know the pressure ratio of either of them?

If you ask 10 people this question, you'll get 5 Vortech votes and 5 Procharger votes.

I prefer Vortech because the impeller shape seems to be more up-to-date and the fastest LT-1's use Vortech's.

Less problems with the Vortech's leaking and I've yet to see one have an internal bearing failure. They are way behind the times in max all out power blowers but for a street car they still are the best IMO.

I had a Vortech S-trim, which gave yeoman service. When it came time to upgade, I chose the Procharger F1 as it'a about the same size as the T-trim but flows more air. Both are good compressors.

it also makes a difference if your car is stock or not.

if your car is stock a t trim is way to much blower for a stock lt1. i have a t trim on my mustang and its great on a mustang. (lower comp. motor)

for a camaro i went with a procharger because of the inner cooler and higher compresion of the motor at the time when my car was stock.

a p600b is good for a stock motor. you can buy used ones from 1500-1800 with an inner cooler.

if you plan on building a race motor or stroker then its a whole new stategy. at least a t trim or d1.
