Running them to destruction is fine an all until in the process you take out something else like the block, heads, intake, tranny. If your a manual transmission and the engine locks up at highway speed itll send you off the road in a hurry..... those are just a few of the problems I was thinking about when I was tossing around the idea of just doing a cheap setup till it blows.....

Well, if your set on doing that check this out.

these pistons, -22CC dish is the most I could find.
Make sure you get correct rings that wont butt together since those ringlands will be weak under all that pressure.

with this gasket, i dunno if you can use it or not, it has a big bore is made of copper, no experience with any of that. Would get you right around 9.1:1

This one would maybe work better I dunno, looks like a standard gasket. Would get you around 9.2:1

Well sounds like .060 over wouldn't be the best idea on a high boost motor anyways. Heads... hmmm.. heads. I need to get aftermarket heads so I can get a bigger combustion chamber. If it took em out it would just forced me into some heads right away.

Its an auto.

But yeah I hear ya. Im gunna beat the stock motor for a bit while getting a 2 bar system figured on the LT1 pcm. Maybe throw some pistons and beat it with as much as the 42# injectors will keep up with (and get a meth kit on it). Then winter rolls around I want to do the engine right and with a new fuel system.

I did a 6" Eagle H_beam with a Calies Dragonslayer 3.75" stroke. Used JE -28cc blower pistons (4.030" bore) with AFR 54cc chamber vol. heads and deck heigth @ 0.010". A Felpro 1074 head gasket would result in 9.5:1 static compression. That's where I am today with a LT1 383 - D1 intercooled/ meth_inj, and a 7.6 --> 3.4" drive pulley ratio. Also did 4-bolt main cap mod. Hope this helps. B.

That won't get you as low as you want, but WAY BETTER than those junk HYPER pistons.
What would they give for compression on stock heads?

4.04" Bore
3.48" Stroke
4.125" Gasket diameter(felpro 1074)
.039 Compressed Gasket thickness(felpro 1074)
54cc Stock chamber volume
-20.3 Piston dome volume
.015 deck height(average number)

That brings us to 9.50:1.
That number should be pretty accurate.
