S/c?

You guys can see my current setup in my sig. I am running somewhere between 380-390rwhp. My question is should I worry about running 6psi, or will I be in trouble. I figure that small boost should get me to 480rwhp or so. I plan on running 42lb/hr injectors, inline fuel pump, and FMU. Maybe I should use 4.5psi?

Any boost on an LT1 isn't real safe...but it isn't necessessarily gonna blow soon either. I'd probably do it...installing my ported heads before my shortblock so screw it ....but i'm running the 8lb pulley.

About a year and a half.....bout 5 months of total down time (broken rear...saved for a 12 bolt after fixing 3 times, and blown centerforce clutch).

About a year and a half (5 months of down time due to non-motor related breakage). Just be sure to pull timing per pound of boost via MSD BTM and don't get greedy hehe.

Any dyno numbers or mph increases in the 1/4?

Anyone else have S/C experience?

Everytime I would get ready for the track the damn rear would let go....I install a 12 bolt then 2 weeks later the clutch went. After I break-in this SPEC i'll finally get some numbert. I did beat a t/a with 100 shot and he dead hooked while I spun through first and second. That was with 4 of my flywheel bolts loose (suspect of knock retard) and a dirty MAF causing rpms to drop by 500 or so with each hesitation (happened above 4k rpm) so i'd say the blower did pretty good.

I lasted over 95,000 SC miles and many years on a stock motor with good tune, running 7-10 psi. I can't really say I have heard or know of anyone that is close to me on that aspect. The numbers you see on the post are when the car had about 90,000 miles on the clock and the motor was pretty much stock(no headers, exhaust). I would say not bad considering thre dyno run was at a elevation of 2500ft, it was 90-95 degrees out and I never even cracked open the valve covers. But at about 114,000 I started to see smoke from the breather, and did a quick rebuild. Those "great" pistons from GM, number 1 & 7 specifically gave up the ghost. But I am back on the road with a forged setup and also had the blower redone by ATI and its good to go. But like I said I am one of the very FEW!! I would stay away from a blower and get the motor setup for it first, then go at it. Boost is very addictive and just a little is never enough.

My car went 93.4 mph through an 1/8 w/ 7 psi aftercooled and a cc306 cam, this was with the 6 spd two years ago.
