Code 43

95 trans am Callie's 383 lt4 stroker s/c throwing code 43 after s/c belt broke?? Any input

If after you replace the belt, can you clear that code and does it come back? It is knock sensor wiring (open or shorted) but I doubt that the belt made it to the opposite side of the block and did damage to the wiring or sensor.

Changed the belt... Engine light was itermitent, now stays on.. Changed knock sensor, still pulling code 43.. Gonna try the pigtail next..

Key on, connector off sensor, check for 5 volts between the single pin in the connector and the block (ground). Connector still off, check the resistance between the single pin on the sensor and the block. Should be 4,400 ohms, +/- a few hundred ohms. Reconnect connector to sensor. Check voltage from single wire to block. Should be around 2.5 volts.
