Question for you vertical radiator guys

I know there are more threads like this but, I got a radiator/fan setup from ofi and there arent as many ports on this radiator as the stock so what would be better,
Tee the oil cooler line from lower driver side water pump with the large lower radiator hose, OR cap off the oil cooler line at the water pump?

I have it capped off right now but as soon as the car warms up it wants to push all the coolant up out of the expansion tank that ofi uses to fill the system since the radiator has no cap on it.

I know it sounds kind of confusing but I can post pics if I need to but I need to get this thing out on the road so help would be awesome!

right, but did you leave the oil cooler line at the water pump capped off? What was causing your coolant to push up out of the expansion tank?

I have my OFI radiator setup mounted and as soon as the hoses get here (Joel forgot to send them with the radiator) I'll be starting it up. I'd rather not have coolant pushing out of the tank.

I had the steam line from the back of the heads teed into one of the heater hoses originally but now I have it running to the expansion tank and it doesn't overflow anymore.
I did cap off the oil cooler line on the water pump without any problems.
Joel "forgot" my hoses too and I got tired of being brushed off and ignored so I tigged some up. Good luck getting them and if you do I would like to see some pics of them.

great! for the kind of $ he charged for this setup, the hoses should have been gold plated and sent on time.

What did you end up using for hoses?

I'm going to have to rig up something or I'll never get the thing started. He said he shipped them a few days ago, but it only takes 1-2 days for standard shipping since I'm located in Ohio. Now he won't return my calls.

Sounds identical what he told me... I kick myself for ever buying it since in my case I didn't need it I just wanted more room. He charges WAY too much for this setup. He finally did ship one hard pipe I guess he uses for a radiator pipe but come to find out it was for an ls1 kit and wasn't even close to what I needed.
I just shaped some hangars into the rough shape I needed and took them to auto zone and found ones that were close to that. It doesn't look the best but I didn't have much choice.

woops...i did it like the stock set up--opposite of what you did. I wonder if it really matters? I've only had it running on jack stands tonight but once I got the water in it, the temperature held steady at operating temp.
