Intercooler piping for RealQuicks Log setup

Does anyone have clear pics on how to route the piping from the FMIC. I have gather bits and pieces here and there but seem to just confuse the crap out of me. This is my 1st Turbo setup and trying to put it together with no instructions what so ever... It's a bit frustrating for me so any help would be appreciated greatly...

Hey there..
I did my own too and recently. I was in the same boat as you. Do you just have some pipe or did you buy a kit from the internet like I did? Here's my route, described...
I have the real quick hotside too. Where does your compressor exit? Mine points straight down.
From compress outlet - 90 degree elbow pointing straight at opposite side(beneath battery) of car, running a straight pipe. This straight runs right underneath the bottom radiator support. I have a 90 degree silicone elbow at the end that transitions from the straight and now directs the pipe towards the front of the car. This pipe is a short straight that then connects to a 45 degree. The other end of the 45 is connected to the inlet of the FMIC. On the other side of the Intercooler, a similar 45 degree bends around the perimeter of the bumper skin into a 45 degree silicone elbow. From this 45 a straight pipe points UP thru the hole that the K&N CAI filter tube was previously sticking through. The BOV pipe is sectioned in here. From this straight/BOV section, a coupler attaches to a 90 degree aluminum elbow. The other end of this elbow goes into my MAF. The MAF then is coupled to my Vortech Elbow. The vortech elbow into the Throttle body. Is that good enough? If not, I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow. Click on the link in my sig to see the cold side piping (bottom of my page)

Thanks Dave I have saved your link and will take a better look at this tonight when I get home. I got one of the FMIC and piping kit off ebay. Also where did you locate the BOV... Sorry for the questions but I am in the dark here....

You can run piping any way you want. Justin did it from the compressor to the IC on the driver's side... out of the IC toward the pass side.... then up thru where the battery was (I believe), then toward the motor (using a TFS or vortech elbow at the TB, but flipped to aim at the pass. side).

You can also do like Dave... run the piping out of the turbo toward the pass side. next to the elect. fans. Then use either two 90 degree turns or a 180 degree U-bend to get you to the front of the car (where the IC is). Go thru the IC and come out the driver's side of it... then run the pipe thru the hole where an LT1 CAI would be. The pipe comes up thru the hole, passed the fuebox and into the MAF or elbow.

The BOV is in that section of pipe between where the Intercooler exit "up pipe" heads up thru the CAI hole in the front end. I bought a pre welded Stainless Steel pipe w/Tial flange from www.turbochargers.com(you can find them on Ebay for a far better price. I was just in a hurry). I bought several extra couplers and T-Bolt clamps just in case and that effort has saved me a lot of down time. After you cut your piping to fit, be sure to have all the cut ends Bead Rolled. Without that retention lip, the couplers will pop off with aggravating regularity. Ask me how I know. I found a local very friendly shop, SGP Racing, that bead rolled all my cut ends and since then, I haven't had any more issues where I've had to lay under my car on the side of the road in my office clothes, cussing, as I reattached the popped off piping. Lol... I'll have a pic of the BOV too.

Something I've seen that's GREAT for mocking up and testing where to run pipes: The flexible metal dryer vent hoses. Stiff enough to stay where you want, soft enough to manipulate HOW you want. Then it's just a matter of measuring, sourcing, and figuring out if you're going to go with welded large sections or cut short sections (like the radius on the bends, ect) and use silicone couplers. I'll hopefully be doing this again myself here in a few more weeks when my OFI kit comes in.

Here is how I did mine, I deleted the stock coolant overflow and picked one from the local parts store for around $8 and mounted it below the battery. Here is a quick idea of how I ran my piping...

From the throttle body I ran straight toward the passenger side, past the battery, I did have to cut out the metal below the battery slightly to make it fit, then ran it below to the intercooler. Out of the intercooler on the drivers side, around the air dam(which I cut even with the frame rails, so cut off about 6" on each side of the car), and to the turbo.
