Question By-Pass for 6PSI Pulley........

About to change my 4.5 Powerdyne to a 6 Psi Pulley.
Should i get the tap,and add the By-pass Valve ? I see the
reg kits do not call for the By-pass valve and don't include
1 with their kit. My 4.5 is only making about about 3 psi @
5300 RPM. I'm sure the 6 psi pulley will only show me 4 to 5 boost at the most.Worth $150.00 for the Tap,Drill and By-pass valve ? Any of you 6 psi Powerdyne guys running one ? If
not,any problems ?
Thanks !

With less than 5# of boost it's really up to you if you want to install it. If I have plenty of time I would probably do it since it will not hurt any but help you, except if it is bad and leaky. If you are planning more boost later than definitely get it.

At 4# there is no rush for it. I would probably use that $150 and see if you can get some kind of dyno tuning for it or at least dyno it with WB O2 to see if you are safe to rev it up to 6200rpm. Then at higher rpm, you will see more boost, more power and faster ET. Then you may need to install the bypass valve.

Good luck
