6psi give or take seems to be the limit of "safe" intercooled boost on a stock LT1. someday I'll rebuild (oh no!) but until then:

How much boost with h20/alc injection? Sunoco 94, turbo, and I plan on having an ice cold water/air intercooler, which is the main focus of getting more air into -and- more power out of the LT1 while running low boost. screw that air/air crap. I know boost doesn't destroy - detonation does but just wondering how far I'll be able to push things. I figure adding water injection will be easy, 2 systems sharing half of the same stuff. would 8psi be safe in that setup, or 10psi?

how much does water injection help, what do people run boost wise on/off water injection?
