Unless you find a cheap, used set and have a guy that has a proven car that will port them for cheap- I say skip the GM OEM style heads.

AFR's are nice, but you'll find a set of TFS going on my motor.

By the way, check my sig for the shop I use. They run Pro 5.0, and are PROVEN. Always go with guys who run in the sanctioned events.

I am putting down over 700 rwhp with CNC ported stock heads. Stock heads can support high hp applications.

The P600 is old tech, and the D1 is more than most need. The P1 is perfect for most people. It has enough to get you into the 9's with the right motor. Most people aren't even close to 10's with the D1- so whats that tell you.

Means they spent too much on the wrong parts. Get a used P1 and use the rest of your money to get some heads.

Do you have any links to any f-bodies that are running 9's with a P1? You are talking all blower not blower and nitrous, correct?

Thanks Matt
No drawback, but it does not surge at idle any more like it would normally did when it was hooked up to the inlet side. Plus it leave you to be more creative on the intake side (hard intake tube) meaning it does not colapse under high boost.

I do have my bypass valve vented to atomsphere.

Hope that help,
Claude
