Spark Plug Gap with P1-SC
Spark Plug Gap with P1-SC
Just wondering what you guys think I should run for a plug gap with this setup:
Stock internals LT1
P1-SC 8# blower
RK-Sport midlength headers
Borla cat-back
Offroad pipe (3")
I am putting in NGK TR6 plugs, am thinking about .035" gap, what do you guys think? Am I close?
Thanks!

That's what I run for a plug gap.
Are you running a MSD 6BTM ? aftermarket coil ?
Those are some items you should consider.
I ran NGK plugs when I first put my old P600B on the car but found the gaps opened up on them and switched to Autolite 103's
Good luck,
Marc
P.S. Boost is addictive

Thanks for the info Marc.
I have been thinking about the 6BTM for a while now but might have to run 'er with stock crap for now. What kind of coil are you running?
Thanks again,
Seth

Before the coil pack conversion I was using an MSD coil, MSD 6 BTM and MSD superconductor wires.
You really need to run a MSD 6 BTM to pull some timing unless you've had the PCM reprogrammed.

I just gapped the plugs at .035 today, will try that. I know for one thing that I HATE changing plugs on this thing already. With the headers on it, plugs are a real b*tch to get to. Any slick tricks on changing 'em an "easy" way???

There's no real "easy" way to change spark plugs, you just get better at it the more you do it
Some headers are more spark plug friendly than others.
I did manage to pick up a telescoping spark plug socket that some dude made and was selling in the for sale section. That did help a CH, especially on #5
