ATI P1-SC Unit Comparison.

Does anyone know if a P1-SC (self-contained) blower, have the same supercharger noise as the older P600B unit? Is it quiter? Louder? Someone out there has had to hear both! Thanks!

Thumbs up

I have the P1SC. Although, I have not measured the loudness to a P600b. I was told by others that have heard the P600B that mine is quieter. I called up ATI one day and they said that the P600B is about ~8 decibils quieter than the P600B. Dont get me wrong, the P1SC mabee quietER but you will still hear it. Its not as quiet as the powerdyne units.

Hope that helps,

I have had the p600B, D1SC and F1 and in my opinion the P600b was the loudest.

Cool

Thanks guys. I too have also heard a P600B, and your right it is quite loud. I might be in the market for a charger soon, and would like to have something as loud as a P600B, but ATI keeps pressing in their advertisments, that the P1-SC is quiter. I wonder how much 8 decibles is? Can't be that much different. Anymore opinions apreciated.

An increase of 6 decibles represents a doubling of volume.
