15# Pulley for ATI P600B?
Does a 15# pulley exist for the LT1 F-body kit from ATI for the p600b blower? Would it be to hard on the p600b? I have a 12# pulley on it now.
Thanks for any help, Jason

Darn, I am only seeing 7psi of boost with the 12# pulley I cant afford a new D1. Ahhh well.

I'm pretty sure ATI does make a 15# pulley for the P600B.
With a 15# pulley you will be at the end of the effeciency range as I believe the max rpm of the blower with a 15# pulley is 6300 rpm (engine rpm that is).
If you're looking for a 15# pulley, get ahold of Lonnie Pavits at www.westol.com/lpavtis/ "E" mail lpavtis@westol.com

ATI does sell a 15 lb pulley and in my opinion it is not worth anything because as stated above it puts the blower out of its efficiency zone. You are also very likely to overspin the blower .

I know there is a 15# pulley made for the P600B. I always thought ASP made the pulley though, not ATI. Someone once posted that they had called ATI about this pulley, but ATI did not recommend using it(for the reasons mentioned).
Any of the ATI dealers want to comment/clear this up?
The 7# you're seeing, is that w/ ported heads? If so, I wouldn't worry about it. The 12# pulley is still working for ya.

I have a 15 lb pulley from ATI. I ran it for a couple weeks. Can you guess why i didn't run it longer? It pulled real hard down low compared to a 9 lb pulley.
I just picked up some custom pistons of Ebay with a 48cc dish. They will give me a compression ratio of 7.6/1. I'm going to put these pistons, a stock cam, cutting exhaust for 1.6 valve and the little pulleys on the engine im trying to pull together now. I have some software that estimates dropping from 11.9 to 11.3. We will see.
Peace, Keven

Yes the 7psi is after a 396 stroker motor that obviously has ported heads. 7psi on a 9:1 comp motor is not eneough boost to mkae good power. I have to see at least 10psi.
