P1SC going in- Fuel pump ques...

I'm going to install the p1sc on my lt4 hot cam'd z28. I installed a Holley fuel pump not too long ago and am wondering if I should even replace it w/the pump included in the sc kit. The existing one is 255 lph. My injectors will be mototron 60#. Your thoughts on whether the existing pump would be sufficient. I'm anticipating around 550hp.

What psi are you pushing? I think you are thinking too high.... I did 42# injectors with a racetronix pump and 5psi, and am hoping for 425-450rwhp. I think a pump with 255lph is fine, and 60# are enough.

actually i'm running lt4 heads, intake, slp headers, hot cam, 1.6 rr's, 58mm tb, !cat, borla ex, etc. this should be in the ballpark of 400hp although I haven't dyno'd it. The addition of 8psi should get me into the 500-550 range. Am I way off?

lt4 bolt on is about 380 running good.

Dunno.. 550 is high either way....

Compression is higher on a lt4... so you wont get to run 8lobs for very long and boom... 6lbs would beat on that motor...

i dont see over 500hp happening...

You could make 500 hp wif you stuck 2k into pistons/rods/cam/springs/retainers/ and good hardware. That way you can get good dished pistons with the right ring gap for big boost... h-beam rods... studs throughout hte motor...

i'm actually just waiting for it to go boom-that'll be an excuse to go inside the motor.
