what is the reason some of you guys use normal oil- 5w-30 or heavy weight for your blowers or turbos? why do some guys use synthetic oils only?


i always used normal 5w-30 and since i got my blower and putting the motor back together after some upgrades i wanted some opinions. i only have 30,000 miles on the motor. a friend who has a bunch of vettes told me that synthetic since its thin it will find any weak spots in a gasket and leak sooner.
