nitrous on turboed engine
hi,
I am building a 383 Lt4 stroker for my 95 camaro and i have a few questions. I am building it with callies dragonslayer crank, eagle h-beam rods with upgraded bolt kit, and JE turbo pistons, and a custom cam made for a turbo with small duration and large lobe seperation. What i was wondering is if it is ok for me to put nitrous on the motor for a while (about a 150 shot) until i save up for the big turbo. I just want a little added boost until i get my turbo. Oh yeah forgot to mention the heads, they are AFR 210cc with 76cc chamber. Any info that would be of any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: nitrous on turboed engine
Sure, there is no problem with it at all. In fact, N2O AND a turbo are a great combo in that as soon as you hit the N2O the exhaust volume dramatically increases and the tubine spools. IOW, bye-bye to turbo lag.

Re: nitrous on turboed engine
so if I understand corectly, you just want to run nitrous until you get the turbo.. or do you want to run nitrous with the turbo as well? I'd say a 150 shot on your motor with no boost is fine.. and then once you get boost a 50-75 shot might help with lag, as rich said above

As I read it, you want to run the spray until you get the turbo. Only worry I would have is the turbo specific cam, if it has less ex duration you might have a little reversion problem on spray..
