Yup, I had a hard time believing it to when I was first told it and as you can see through this thread i called them a bunch and talked to there R&D dept and the engineer! I even got them to send me a screen shot of the piston before it went into production. I believe I also posted the phone number in this thread so give them a call! its one of the best deals on pistons fo sho

I know they have a phone number on their main website for tech.

With the edis I can't cut spark - I can retard it but not cut. I am probably going to switch that to direct coil drive - I have done this on another car and it worked well.

My keith black 2618's are very noisey on cold startup. After they get to operating temp you can hear them at initial revup from a stop but when I had it apart for the head gaskets I didnt see any signs of anything wrong. Guessing its just the nature of the beast for this alloy. I had the block honed professionally to the specs given with the pistons. I was a little scared at first, but after the beating I gave it before I blew the head gaskets, I would imagine if this wasnt normal I would have seen obvious signs on the cylinder walls. Im sure the rings wont last forever in this scenario, but its better than melting/cracking pistons.
