Mahle SBC550030I26 vs SRP 4032 dish pistons

Some quick shots - I hope to be putting it together in a few weeks.
To repeat what the other threads have said:
Yes these are 2618 forgings. -26cc dish 5.7 rod 4.030 bore. CNC had the best price I could currently find at $582 shipped.

Sorry for the glare -

So here are the Mahle pistons - I don't think I have seen a running vehicle with them yet. I pray they are the answer for cheap 2618 pistons.

The skirt is shorter by quite a lot - the compression height is the same though.

Bottom has a lot less meat than the SRP pistons. Feel a lot lighter. Seem to be coated because not all of the bottom is sprayed.

Same compression height - picture is shot through both pistons

Ring pack is higher up and closer together - dear lord don't let these break here

I doubt they will break. I got the Mahle high silicone forged pistons for 6" rods -26cc with 15# non-intercooled boost except for water/meth spray and I've accidentally ran it real lean like 14:1 at the track going 11.1 @126 with not enough fuel pressure - Water/meth saved me I'm sure. The silicone takes heat real good, but I bet the 2618s are tougher than what I have... I bet they are good pistons for you. Take your time fitting the rings.
