MAF on pressure side

I read that many people are starting to do this to their cars but from what i have seen, it has on been on ATI's or car with some sort of intercooler routing. I have a STrim with the factory routing and was wondering if anyone had some pics or if it even will work. Was there anying cutting of the composite discharge tube is my main question. Im running water injection and the nozzle is in this tube and need to know if i have to move it. Also, putting the MAF on the pressure with the water injection would mean that the water would pass over the MAF sensors. Is this okay or would i have to move the nozzle after the MAF. Thanks for any replies.

Also i forgot to ask if there are downsides at all to having the MAF on the pressure side.

All ATI's kits for third gens (with MAFs) place them on the pressure side.

i can't help with the details on squeezing it in that small space on a vertech setup, but mine is on the pressurized side as well, with a surge valve venting to atmosphere 6 or so inches before the MAF. I haven't had any problems at all with it.

The water injection would absolutely have to be done after the MAF, not before.

Maybe Im wrong but i thought that the water took the place of air so wouldnt it be more accurate if it was before the MAF, i know the obvious no no of putting water on electronics but the water is basically steam in the motor because of the heat so would it have the same effect? Any input from someone in the same boat would be good.

The MAF is fairly accurate, regardless of heat, temperature, or pressure. Getting water on it would only ruin the electronics.

The MAF will fit on the pressure side with the Vortech. Take a look at my site for pictures. I did have to fab up the two pipes but there is room.

Thanks Tim that helps but does anyone have pics of a vortech without an aftercooler and the MAF on the pressure side.
