thanks for the pulley info

sorry KB is short for keith black.

check em out you can get a forged 355 dished piston for less then 400 bucks if you look around. no experience with them myself but never really heard anything bad about the company and the pistons look good to me..

for the price i think im gonna give em a try..

With the nitrous and enough timing pulled you should be good to go with detonation concerns. The main thing with running the nitrous is your going to depend on it to cool your intake charge, therefore any time you go WOT its going to need to be armed. You could use a boost swith (can't remember the real name of it) to arm it automatically when you get into boost, otherwise it might be easy to forget. I like my alky control kit b/c its basically fool proof. The lights blink when you start car to let you know its there, it lets you know as your approching boost with the red light that turns green as it starts spraying, its progressive and fully tunable, and has a low tank warning light. Anyway

Another concern is the stock rods, I'd seriously consider getting a forged set especially since the motor will see boost and spray. I'd think 550rwhp is right on the edge for a stock rod motor with this combo. It probably wouldn't be long b/f your looking for more power but will be limited by this.

As far as pulley combo its hard to tell, every combination is different depending of head flow, cam, and exhaust.

I've been happy with the cam i'm running, its on a 114lsa. When i build a motor i will consider sticking with it but i'm not sure if it would get me to 650rwhp. Its usually a good idea to call an experienced lt1 shop in your area or a cam manufacturer directly with your complete combo info. Hope this helps

kevin

BTW: is this a carbed setup? I'd think that would definately effect your cam choice too

kevin-

no, no carb.

will be using stock t.b mounted on a 90 degree metal elbow on the vic. with motron 60 injectors.

the nitrous system is already installed in the car, it is run on a wot/window switch. comes on at 3k and WOT so anytime im making serious boost i should be faily covered by the nitrous

They ones they made for me are black anodized billet aluminum. You can definitely tell they are lighter than the vortech pieces I had.
