I posted this on ls1tech as well........ http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=577151
How is it that with dual cutouts open I gain not ONE horsepower over the cutouts being closed?? I am running Pacesetter longtubes and and y-pipe with a Borla. The car is an 11 psi P1-SC 383. I went to get a dynotune and Jeff finished tuning and uncapped the cutouts and didnt make one horse on the next pull. I wouldnt have thought my exhaust would have flowed that well with 1 3/4" LTs. The car still put down 585 so I'm not disappointed but I would have liked to the hit the 600 mark. Even Jeff thought it would go over 600
I am still using the LE worked LT4 heads. They are still holding up great. Im using the stock crank pulley which is 7.65" I think ( it measures 7 3/4" across the outside of the pulley) and a 3.4 blower pulley. At 6800 rpms the blower is spinning @ 62,730, given the crank pulley is 7.65". I upgraded to an SDCE setup and I have checked it several times and havent seen any belt dust on the blower. The intake for the blower is a 4 inch to a 3 1/2 inch 90 degree silicone elbow with a 3 1/2" mandrel bent exhaust pipe to a rather large K&N filter.
