Question Loading up at low rpms!!!!

OK - I have just NEARLY finished working out all the bugs on my 383 stroker with a vortech project....except...

At low rpms and idle - it loads up pretty bad, after you lay into it from 1/2 throttle on - it runs like a raped date!!!!!!

I have checked the mds system, and it all checks out, I don't know where to start, it has good fuel pressure, and I have #36 injectors and a "Custom Tune" PCM I has madz28 do.

I tried to call ion at madz28 - at the # he gave me, but guess what - no "incoming" calls accepted - I send numerous e-mails and no response - seems way shady huh?

Anyway - pleasse let me know your thoughts - any help would be GREATLY appreciated.....

Mine was doing the same thing until I put my MAF on the pressure side. It seems my BOV, which vented into the intake after the MAF, was disrupting the MAF signal and causing a rich condition at idle and it surged badly. It idles great now.

Just a thought,

I thought of that also - I do have the maf installed on the pressure side, I has to hack the intake tubes, but it went together pretty nice.... I really don't know where to start....Do I get a stock pcm and try it?

Ion's always been responsive... Sometimes he gets busy and it might take a day or two to get a response, but I've always heard back from him...

A stock PCM would be horrible and would dump tons of fuel in because of the injecto size difference. Don't do that.

Have you tried logging some data andseeing what is going on? A datamaster file would probably Ion out as well.

No - I have not ever though about it - What is the best way to log data? With a lt1 edit or what? I don't have a laptop or the lt1 edit program.....Let me know what i'd need.

Thanks

It depends on what year of car you have. OBD1 or OBD2?
1. OBD1 use TTS datamaster or Diacom.
2. OBD2 uses autotap.
3. You will need a cable from www.AKMcables.com or similar. 4. You will need a laptop to log data.

Good luck,
