I got 570 rw at 7psi, so yes porting makes a world of difference.

That was one of my customers - 192z28with18s (Justin)

On a side note, I went to take the car to the dyno back when this thread was active, and it wouldn't start. I still haven't gotten it to start (I think it is the BCM). I am demotivated and haven't touched it in months.

This. Mine would corrode the terminals every now and again and totally shut down until it was cleaned (radio, lights, locks, the whole 9 yards). Had to replace the terminals to get it to stop doing it. Stainless FTW.

I'll say 571 if you can get it started. Do I win that turbo kit I e-mailed you about if I'm right?

It's definitely not the ground IMO. I have power to everything (windows, locks, radio, gauges, etc... even 12V at the starter from the battery). My alarm/key fob isnt locking/unlocking at all (battery in fob registers full voltage).

If it doesn't crank at all it could be the starter. Mine got to the point where I had to put a charger on the bat just be able to turn it through.

If you do find it's the starter, one option that may give you more clearance to the hot exhaust is the Corvette starter.

hmm... well, i guess i could get a new starter, but I don't think it is that. I just find it wierd that my key fob/alram doesn't work now. i hope it is just the starter...

Are you using an aftermarket alarm with an ignition kill switch? You could always have the local parts shop test the starter before you replace it.

Just use a screw driver and jump the starter first, 2 minutes and you can rule it out.

If the key fob isn't working, battery could've died in it or might have a bcm issue. Does the security light flash when you try to start it?

Yeah, a local autozone or what not should be able to check the starter for ya before you spend the $$.

Jon, don't give us that sh*t about being demotivated
Did your FOB get wet? Have you tried the Programming steps on the FOB just for grins? If you still think it's the BCM I have a good working one here you can try. If needed, I can priority mail it to you on Monday morning. I'm back in upstate NY so it wouldn't take long to get to you.

Speaking of which, I bought some Canfield LT1 heads that will be finished being freshened up with new seals, valve job, beehive springs at the machine shop this weekend (2.055/1.60 valves)
