Jet Technologies Superchargers
ive been lucky enough to learn from friends mistakes and not have anything happen on my personal cars due to FI, but it sucks having to pull what was a perfectly good motor just cause they didnt wanna spend the money to properly do it. your gonna spend the money either way so do it right the first time
ahah sorry man, didnt mean to get your hopes down just giving up a heads up about what your getting in to. when running properly forced induction is awesome, but its also awesome at finding the weakest link in your car and destroying it. hell, the supercharger or turbo selection is probably the easiest part, making it work thats the challenge but it can be the most fun you can have
if you actually read through the ebay ad, its kinda scary
" The more built your engine is, the more power it will produce! - umm, wouldnt the pulley you run do that?? this must be a magic supercharger that can sense forged pistons and healthy a/f ratios so it doesnt blow your motor
"Can free flow through the supercharger for those who want to run supercharged only part-time (wtf??), although we have been running this unit full-time on daily drivers with no detrimental effects to either the supercharger or the engine" - that right there is what i was talking about when i said it sounded like they dont know wtf they are talking about,
so the unit works on daily drivers without exploding, good for you lol
"have had a Jet Technologies Supercharger in my personal daily driver, an SVX, for about four years now, and I LOVE it! -
The power is great, and it comes on smoothly.
On my set up I have about 3 PSI boost by 2500 RPM, and 5 PSI by 3500 RPM, and by 6500 I'm hitting 12 PSI! -ya right, id love to see proof, the SVX is a high compression motor (10.5 to 1 i think) people have HUGE issues (have to pull timing like crazy making the motor a dog off boost) at 5 psi let alone 12
yea i kinda went on a tangent but basically i dont wanna see you get ripped and then be like wtf when it blows up and takes your motor with you

I am the guy with the Jet Technologies supercharger on my SVX for about 4-5 years now.
I am also getting one for my Suburban.
It took a lot of time for me to get this fairly large supercharger to work on such a small engine, 202 CID, 10 to 1 compression, flat six, but it works well and i am very happy with it.
subarubill96, if you have any doubts about whether it exists or not then check out
www.subaru-svx.net
and check out my locker.

If need be I can post a video, or a link to one of my SVX boosted.
We are all here because we are car guys!
We all like power.
We have all been up to our elbows in sweat, blood and swear words making our cars better.
As far as the add goes, the more built your engine is the more it will flow. and the more power you will get out of it.
It is a simple, truthful statement.
My better half thought that I should include the disclamer about free flowing for the guys who have to answer/explain to their better halfs.
It is a great supercharger and I am glad to be able to represent them.

This is the "1700cfm" T5 Impeller:

Notice the inside of the exducer, between midnight and 3 oclock.

A look at the install:

And another:

As the only example of an install and product, I am far from impressed. Where is the experience with LT1's and Fbodies? Where are any pictures of LT1/LS1 cars? Where is the existence in our community?
I'm all for the new guy and the little guy, but in this industry you get what you pay for and you take your chances.
If Jet wants to make a good impression though, they should send a unit to one of our senior members (or venders) for some testing. I dont see an overall package even close to what other kits provide. In fact, it looks like a lot of work done in a garage with a random supercharger stuck on a car it wasnt made for.
And a supercharger that is internally rigged for up to 1700cfm is wayyyy to much for that engine. Anyone putting a blower that size on their car needs to get their priorities straight because its nothing more than bragging rights - its overkill and not properly matched to the rest of the system (which I dont see anyway).

id love to see a video. more info about setup up would be cool too. (built motor?) looks like you got quite a bit of fabbing into that setup as far as my memory serves me no one ever made a supercharger kit for the SVX. i also wouldnt say the more built your motor is the more flow you get out of it especially when your talking forced induction. its all about the power adder there, the more boost you can safely run the more power you are able to make. it sounds like you have had good luck with jet tech but your the first to say anything about them and considering the price is close to a new vortech or procharger headunit people tend to go with what is proven.

If I am allowed to post then I am happy to, as the actual Jet Technologies kits are VERY professional!

And I can spin it to 7200 RPM.
One of the nice things about this type of supercharger is that with a smaller crankshaft pulley you in effect have a smaller supercharger.
I only run a 6.5" crankshaft pulley, and it's probably still too big for my application.
Let me get a link to a REAL Chevy kit.

trash like everyone said!! Adam is wierdo and a thief!!
Im one of the fools who baught one of these pieces of crap. jet technologies make theyre stuff out of junkyard scrap, realy! This screw ball Adam ownes a metal foundery out in CA. He said I needed a custom bracket, FOR A SMALL BLOCK CHEVY!!! Thats just one of the many stupid things I heard from him. heres a copy of another one. He sent me some USED Ford pulleys to use on the bracket they made, four months later.
I'm sorry Don but your mistaken on both your accusations of weakening the bracket in entirety is stronger, the bolt holes are far enough spaced and are small with through threading on both brackets making them unison then the actual supercharger further compressing both brackets on top of that the bolt mounts for the engine along with the wide alloy struts on top of that the 1 7/8 thick bar on the bottom makes this overkill not just strong, the fish hook or what ever you want to call it is completely intact if holes weaken they would not put them in pistons connecting rods and a whole host of varied industrial, aerospace and automotive machinery, so please before you say something you may want to take a closer look or at least consider asking, speaking of which you designed this bracket to which if these bolts holes weaken it then you can't imagine what the much larger holes mounting it to your engine do, but the bracket then must be triangulated making it rock solid so im not sure why you are saying any of this. Its blind criticism at best.
I have no issue with sending pictures of the pulleys or carb hat but if this is what I can expect in terms of criticism why bother ill send them to you, take them to an engineer and ask him.
maybe hell point out what's wrong with my parts of which one has yet to fail.....EVER!
He considers himself a rocket sientist, maybe a drunk rocket sientist. I sent the thing back to him but he rejected the shipment, then Visa screwed me because I didnt send it to him again. I was pissed as you can imagine.
After this timeline I bought a Procharger DC1, beutiful bracket!! A supper nice charger too!!

the guy was a total clown to talk to. i figured since he replied in one long run on sentence id be better to look elsewhere. sorry about your issues but at least we have proof this stuff is junk, and i find it funny how that other guy never came back to post his links... considering how ive read zip about other people with Subaru's and SVX's doing this its a clear sign that your hard earned money would be better used on a procharger or vortech.
