I bought a set of custom JE blower pistons recently as part of a rotating assembly from Callies. With rings and upgraded wristpins they were ~$850.

Hey Rich thanks for the reply.Maybe ordering direct from the company is not the way to go.Or maybe the guy just didn't know what he was talking about.

Certainly go through a retailer. I would expect no more than $950 w/ HD pins and lateral gas porting.

I would honesty just call Summit racing. I got some JE dished 31cc pistons for 595.00. What kind of compression are you trying to run? The rings were another 120.00.

I got my whole rotating assembly from Callies (Callies crank, Oliver rods and JE pistons) and I think the pistons were in the price range IDOXLR8 paid.

Frindly advise......

Don't let Callies balance your rotating assembly, balance the assembly yourself

They balanced my assembly and never took the rods out of the packages to check the weights, they just used the weights of the rods as printed on the side of the box. They used other "generic" weights which were also off. I don't have the specifics at work but kept the papwerwork at home.

My motor builder had me re-balance and I'm glad I did as the weights were off. I had to pay twice and Callies wouldn't give me the money back I paid them. After bitching and complaing I finally ended up with a superviser and he gave me back about $75 it was something but I pissed away about $125 (I think it cost $200 for them to balance).

I purchased a set of extreme inverted dome pistons with a -36 cc dish, their new Hardened nitrous series rings and a set of pins for $1400.00. My *** still hurts.

Yikes Where did you pay that much? I thought I was the guy who always seemed to pay "top dollar".

JE direct, that outta do it. Did they offer you any KY with that? Sorry, but its kind of funny. Too bad JE direct prices are not as cheap as GMpartsdirect.com prices(spare me the.."but GM shipping is expensive comment, i know that already")

FWIW....I got my JE -31cc blower pistons with upgraded wp and a set of Hellfire rings for less than $900. It was part of a complete rotating assembly that I got through my engine shop...so that might have saved a few bucks somehow.

Hey fellas thanks for all the replies.Yes as I have learned going direct is not always the best way to go.Called JE back today to cancel my order with them.I think the guy was a little upset.Even without the options they still were a little over $1400.Tried to tell me maybe I need to turn my boost down.Could have choked him then I didn't spend good money on a F1 to not use it to it's full.Once again thanks fellas.

Do not purchase directly from JE. Their prices are too high. I was quoted a price of $690 for a set. I searched the internet and found Flatlander Racing. They advertise their JE pricing cannot be beaten. I gave them the P/N and was quoted $522 for the same set. They were drop shipped directly from JE. Please do not use my dollar amounts as gospel. They are for my 305 TPI.
